Volunteership Opportunities
Prakriti is Voluntary organization towards the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT of Weaker Section of Society and Environment through various forms of aiming at their Self Reliance by for planning, organizing and delivering various Awareness, Educational, Development and social reforms Oriented Programs. In order to assist us with achieving our goal and delivery of quality, we need the help of a committed and passionate group of volunteers who want to enhance the reputation of organization as a socially active organization working for a “Change for Good”. Therefore,Prakriti is therefore delivering various volunteer-shipprograms.
The Volunteer-ship Opportunities will be posted/advertised from time to time on our website: www.prakritilive.org/volunteers. Volunteer roles may also be circulated via SMS, email or word of mouth.
Prakriti hope that volunteering with us will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
However, there are some things you need to know and expect about being a Prakriti volunteer.
These are set out in the following terms and conditions.
In submitting your application to be considered for volunteer-ship, you acknowledge and accept the following:
1. Position Description: The Position Description provides an outline of the role(s) you are applying for, including the key functions of the role, the skills and experience required for the role and the personal attributes we are looking for. You confirm that you have the requisite skills and experience and can perform the role outlined in the Position Description.
2. Who we are looking for: We are looking for volunteers who have excellent people skills and are focused on providing service to highest standards. We will expect our volunteers to be prepared to go the extra mile in order to deliver the best experience possible for Prakriti’s campaigns.. As such, you will need to be friendly and helpful, committed, enthusiastic and passionate, and prepared to work hard. That said, we also want you to have fun while you are working so a good sense of humour will be important. You will need to be cooperative and work well with the rest of the team.
3. Consideration/Evaluation of applications: We will consider your volunteer-ship application based on the information you have provided on your application. You confirm that the information you are submitting to us is true, accurate and current. We are not obliged to consider, accept or approve your application. We will send you a confirmation email confirming receipt of your application. If you are unsuccessful in your application, we will send you an email advising you of this. We will not be responsible for any loss, costs or expenses incurred by you in relation to your application or the selection process.
4. Police checks: We may conduct a police/ Background screening check on you (if required). Although, Most of the volunteer rolesdo not require a police/Background screening check.
5. Selection process: We are looking for the person who we believe is best suited for the role. We will contact you if you are short-listed for an interview. If you do not wish to attend the interview, we will arrange a telephonic interview. We may require you to attend the orientation as part of the process. We may require you to provide identification proof, a CV and references as part of the interview process.You consent to us making such reasonable enquiries as we consider appropriate to verify the truth, accuracy and currency of the information you provide to us. If you are successful in your application, you will need to sign a volunteer agreement with us before you are appointed to the role. You acknowledge that we may appoint people to roles in our sole discretion and without any liability (including for negligence) to you or any other person.
6. Time commitment: The Position Description will give you a general idea of the time commitments you would need to be prepared to make if you were appointed to the role. We will clarify roles and responsibilities assigned to you as a volunteer. We will need you to be flexible in this regard. You confirm that you are able to meet the general time commitments required for the role as outlined in the Position Description.
7. Training: The volunteers may be required to attend orientation and training (which may be role specific). Some roles will involve more training than others. Training (or orientation) may be mandatory for some volunteers. You confirm that you will attend training (if required) if you are successful in your application.
8. Remuneration: The volunteers will not be financially rewarded for their time. The volunteers will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation, meals, refreshments and any incidental expenses unless stated otherwise in the Position Description or otherwise agreed with Prakriti. You acknowledge that you do not expect to be paid for the role you are applying for.
9. Standards: We are a reputed organization, and want to be the best among all. Therefore, we need our volunteers to perform their roles to the best of their ability and with due care and skill at all times. We all know that first impressions last, so it is critical that our volunteer should understand the organization’s standards and complete the assigned task with Quality and perfection. We will expect our volunteers to adhere to a organization’s code of conduct.

Other benefits include the acknowledgement certificate from prakriti, appreciation letters to the outstanding performers, reference letters to the volunteers for future applications. Being part of the prakriti, developing new skills, meeting new people and being acknowledged for your contribution for the cause and the organizations development.
11. Privacy: The volunteer-ship application process requires you to provide us with certain personal information. The Privacy Statement is set out below. You confirm that you have read and agree to the use of your personal information as set out in the Privacy Statement.
12. Volunteer Responsibility: You confirm that you will keep any information related to Prakriti issued to you confidential. Your registration with the Volunteer-ship Program may be cancelled at our discretion if you misuse the information. You will not post/ comment against the organization (Prakriti) on any website nor will you issue any press release to media unless you are assigned the duty to do so. Noncompliance to this may invite Legal Action
13. Amendment of terms and conditions: We may amend these terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion and without notice. Amendments will be effective immediately upon the posting of the amended terms and conditions on the portal.
14. Governing law: These terms and conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Prakriti and above all the constitution of India. All the disputes are subjected to the Gurgaon Jurisdiction only.
